Product Overview

This soft foam pad is designed for people who are immobilised, for use on both heels and elbows to provide extra comfort and help prevent pressure injury. One size fits all, the pad attaches easily to foot or elbow with a strong Velcro strap, ensuring you can adjust the fit for optimum comfort. Extra foam is included underneath the Velcro to stop the strap from touching or rubbing against the top of the foot.

The convoluted or rippled foam helps maintain airflow to the skin's surface, while providing a soft and comfortable cushion. With no stitching under the heel, foot or toe area, the pad can be fitted in either direction without any stitching touching the heel. Ventilation holes on either side of the pad also promote improved air circulation, factors which all help to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers or pressure related injury. The pad can also be secured around the elbow to protect this sensitive area. Large enough to protect the ankles and both sides of the feet, the Foam Pad without cover is typically used for people who cannot move their feet or arms, relying on someone to help them reposition themselves when sitting or lying. A Foam Pad with a Cover is also available, allowing for better independent freedom of movement. This product is machine washable up to 80°C and is sold as a pair. One size fits all.
